general description
the g5177a is a compact,high-efficiency, synchronous
step-up converter withpower mosfets embedded
and with output turn off trueshutdown function and
adjustable output currentlimiting with foldback for a
single-cell li-ion/polymerbattery. the g5177a uses
only 50μa (typ) quiescentcurrent and allows the converter
to switch only whenneeded at no load and light
loads, and when load ishigher than 100ma, it uses
fixed-frequency pwmtechnique at 1mhz. it features a
current mode controlfor fast transient response with
internal compensation.the g5177a includes cycle-
by-cycle current limit tomaximum inductor current
and over-temperatureprotection circuit. the g5177a
is suitable foripad-like computers, smart phones and
portable handhelddevices.
the g5177a is available in a 3mm x 3mmtdfn
package or sop8 (fd) package. the operatingtemperature
range is from -45°c to +85°c.
